peeling wallpaperfluctuating water temperature
The room i got was supposedly a 'superior double or twin room', but 'superior' seems a bit generous considering the peeling wallpaper i spotted near the window. the shower situation was also not ideal. The water temperature fluctuated wildly. also, the soundproofing was non-existent. i could hear every conversation and footstep from the hallway. finally, the promised canal view was more of a sliver between two buildings.

The location was unbeatable. It was steps from the Rialto Bridge. Customer service are exemplary from start to finish. Joel helped with my luggage and made sure I had everything I needed. The outdoor seating right in front of the hotel was great. I enjoyed watching gondolas pass by.
The room we got were much smaller than the one we booked. It also smelt funny.

The staff was very helpful and kind! they gave us a breakfast bag to go since we checked out early. i was happy with the wide selection of breakfast food. Everything was delicious.
The room we got was next to the side alley so it was very noisy. the heater in the room was not adjustable so the room temperature never went higher than 19 degrees. Also the room was so small.

The location is central (i loved being so close to everything). My Classic Double or Twin Room included complimentary coffee and tea. The breakfast was great (especially the fresh pastries!).
The walls are a little thin.

kind staffcramped roombuzzing noise
The staff was kind I appreciated that aspect of my stay.
The room was smaller than expected it felt cramped. The air conditioning made a loud buzzing noise all night this impacted my sleep. The noise from nearby rooms and the street was also a distraction.
